'Duck Face', 'Man Crush', Hawt And 997 Other Words Added To Oxford's Online Dictionary

Our use of words and slangs have always had an effect on the choice of new entries in the popular Oxford dictionary. Not long ago, 'selfie' was added to the online dictionary. Now comes 'duck face'.

According to the Online Oxford Dictionary, duck face is

An exaggerated pouting expression in which the lips are thrust outwards, typically made by a person posing for a photograph 
 Duck face joins 999 other words which were added to Oxford Dictionary this month. Other words include man crush (a ‘typically non-sexual liking or admiration felt by one man for another’), catnip and others.

Some of the added words include:

  1. IDC:   I Don't Care
  2. SD Card:  A type of memory card typically used in digital cameras and other portable devices
  3. Tiki-takaA style of play involving highly accurate short passing and an emphasis on retaining possession of the ball (added maybe because of Spain and Barcelona FC's football success)
  4. Respawn(Of a character in a video game) reappear after having been killed [as seen in the game Inversion]
  5. LOLcat(On the Internet) a photograph of a cat accompanied by a humorous caption written typically in a misspelled and grammatically incorrect version of English
  6. Hawt:  Informal spelling of hot.[mostly used in describing a person]
